How to create Lofi Guitar Effects

In the video, I show you how I created my Lofi guitar patch using a combination of different effects. The most crucial effect that I use is the Echoplex Tape Delay. This gives you access to the Wow & Flutter controls that help to make that ‘wobbly’ lofi guitar effect.

If you don’t have a Boss GT1000 you can still create lofi guitar effects using whatever hardware or software you access to. Here are some examples of free lofi plugins to use with your DAW:-

You can also create lofi effects with guitar pedals such as Vibrato, Chorus/modulation, delay, reverb, distortion, etc.

How to download the patch

I have made my Lofi guitar patches available for you to download and experiment with. Here’s how to download them.

Firstly, you’ll need to own either a Boss GT1000 or GT1000 Core. Secondly, you’ll need to create an account with Boss Tone Exchange: https://bosstoneexchange.com/. This is a great resource for finding and sharing patches for the Boss GT1000.

You can download my Lofi Guitar effects here: Lofi Guitar Effects

To use the patches you will need to load them into your Boss GT1000 or GT1000 core. To do this you need to use the Boss Tone Studio App: Boss Tone Studio Link.

The ‘Lofi Tape 2’ patch was demonstrated in a Youtube video tutorial. You also get the BONUS patch ‘Lofi Vibrato’.
Have fun!
